REFRIGERATOR COLD SLAW | |
1 lg. head cabbage 1 or 2 sm. onions 1 bell pepper Salt to taste Pepper to taste 1 c. sugar 1 c. vinegar 1 tsp. white mustard seed 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1 can pimento 1 tsp. turmeric Chop cabbage, onion and bell pepper until very fine. Add salt and pepper. Bring to boil, sugar, vinegar, mustard seed, celery seed and turmeric. Remove from heat and pour over chopped ingredients. Add pimento. Cover and place in refrigerator. Keep as long as 1 week. |
