FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
CAKE:

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. fruit cocktail
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. pecans, chopped

ICING:

3/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 sm. can Pet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can coconut

Sift dry ingredients for cake. Add egg and fruit. Mix well and sprinkle batter with brown sugar and pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes in greased 9 x 13 inch pan.

Prepare icing by mixing all ingredients, except coconut. Bring to boil; boil for 5 minutes. Add coconut and spread on cake. Leave cake in pan it was baked in.
