LEMON-AMMONIA COOKIES 
1 oz Baking Ammonia
2 tsp. Oil of Lemon
1 pt Milk
2 C Shortening
4 C sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. Salt
Enough flour to make soft dough about 7 to 12 cups

Purchase Baking Ammonia at a drug store. Crush ammonia and put into milk for 3 to 4 hours or overnight. Mix as you do for sour cream cookies. Add flour to roll and cut cookies.

Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown.
