LASAGNA WITH CREAM CHEESE | |
1 lb. Italian sausage 1 lb. ground beef 1 pkg. lasagna noodles 2 (28 oz.) cans tomato puree or tomato sauce or 1 of each 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened 1 pt. sour cream 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. pepper 6 to 8 green onions, chopped 1/4 c. romano or parmesan cheese 1 lb. mozzarella or sliced provolone cheese Brown sausage and beef, drain. In saucepan add tomato, garlic, garlic salt, salt, sugar and pepper. Simmer. To cream cheese, add sour cream, green onions and cheese. Whip. Cook noodles. Spread sauce on bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Put noodles on bottom. Spread cheese mix, put slices of cheese, add sauce to top sparingly. Put more noodles. Put meat mix, put slices of cheese. Add sauce. If there is some cheese mix and meat left do another layer. On top cover with noodles, sliced cheese and cover everything with sauce. Uncovered parts will get crusty. Bake at 350 degrees or until bubbly. Cool 15 minutes before cutting into pieces. |
