BARBECUED BAKED BEANS 
2 med. onions, coarsely chopped
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped (opt.)
2 tbsp. salad oil
4 (1 lb.) cans baked beans
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. ketchup
1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
2 tbsp. melted butter

Saute onions and garlic in oil about 5 minutes until golden brown and tender. Remove from heat. Add beans, molasses and ketchup. Mix well together. Place in casserole.

Toss cheese, bread crumbs and butter together in small bowl. Spoon over bean mixture. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Yield: 8 servings.
