COFFEE BARS 
1 c. golden raisins
2/3 c. strong coffee
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Combine raisins, coffee, and cinnamon; let stand. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix and sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Combine all ingredients. Spread batter in greased pan and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 20 or 25 minutes. While warm, spread with coffee glaze made by adding enough strong coffee to 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar to get thin spreading consistency. Cut bars when cool.
