CINNAMON COFFEE BARS 
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. hot coffee
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream together shortening, brown sugar, egg and cinnamon. Add hot coffee to creamed mixture. Then add flour and stir well. Add raisins and nuts. Spread in greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut into bars and frost with three coatings of cream icing. Makes 2 dozen 1 1/2 x 3 inch bars.
