ENGLISH TEA CAKE 
1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. commercial sour cream
1/4 tsp. salt

TOPPING MIX:

Mix and retain dry.

1/2 c. pecans
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. sugar

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time and beat. Add flour and dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until cake is dry on top.

Pour 1/2 batter into tube cake pan (greased) and top with 1/2 topping mix. Pour the remainder of the batter and top with the other half of topping mix. Bake.
