2 1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. butter and Crisco mixed
2 eggs, beat well
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour, plain

Cream sugar and butter/Crisco. Combine milk, eggs (beat), and vanilla in separate bowl. Sift flour, baking powder, and soda in another bowl. Add milk combination to creamed sugar/butter, mix well. Then begin adding flour. Use more than the four cups to make dough stiff. Roll and cut. Makes about 10 dozen. Bake on slightly greased cookie sheet in 275 degree oven until brown.
