CARROT BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. grated carrots
2 c. sifted flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tbsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in saucepan, add sugar and blend well. Remove from heat and beat in eggs. Beat in carrots, flour, baking powder and salt. Pour into two 8 x 8 x 2 inch greased pans; sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut into squares.
