EASY NEW ORLEANS RED BEANS AND
RICE
 
1 sm. bag red beans
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 kielbasa sausage
3 med. onions, chopped
1 bay leaf
1 lb. bag white rice

Soak bag of beans in cold water overnight. Drain in the morning. Add more cold water to cover beans by about 2 inches. Add chopped ingredients and simmer for 1/2 hour. Add cut-up sausage and bay leaf and continue cooking until thickened, stirring occasionally. Mash beans lightly.

Cook rice according to package directions and drain. Spoon rice onto plates and then spoon red bean mixture over the rice. Serves 4.
