White cake slices to fill bottom of lg. bowl 1/3 c. sherry (opt.) 3 oz. fruit flavored gelatin 2 c. custard or vanilla pudding Sweetened whipped cream Nonpareils or chocolate sprinkles In large dessert bowl, arrange slices of white cake to cover the bottom. Pour sherry over cake, if desired. Prepare gelatin, reducing liquid by 1/3 cup if sherry is used. Pour gelatin over cake and refrigerate until set. Prepare custard, using mix, if desired. Cool and spread over set gelatin and cake. Decorate with sweetened whipped cream and sprinkle with nonpareils or chocolate sprinkles. Serves 6. |
