BUTTER NUT COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. almond or 2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix butter with sugar until fluffy; add salt, flavoring, flour and nuts and mix well. Refrigerate until easy to handle. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Roll 1" balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 12 to 15 minutes until light brown. Roll in confectioners' sugar while warm.
