AUSTRIAN NUT BUTTER COOKIES | |
1 c. flour 1/3 c. sugar 2/3 c. hazelnuts, walnuts or pecans (ground) 1/2 c. soft butter Sift flour, add sugar and nuts. Blend butter in with pastry blender. Chill 1 to 2 hours. Roll on floured board to 1/8 inch. Cut into rounds with floured 2 1/4 inch cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 375, 7 to 10 minutes. Yield 3 dozen. FROSTING: 1 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. sifted confectioners' sugar 1 egg yolk 1 sq. Baker's chocolate, melted and cooled Cream butter and sugar, add yolk and chocolate. Blend well and frost cooled cookies. |
