MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN
4 qts. popped popcorn
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Place popped corn in a large brown grocery bag. Set aside.

Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in 2 quart glass dish or casserole. Microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after each minute, until mixture comes to boiling. Microwave 2 minutes more. Then stir in baking soda and vanilla.

Pour syrup mixture over popped corn in bag. Close bag and shake well. Place closed bag in the microwave and cook on high 1 1/2 minutes. Remove bag and shake well. Replace back in oven and microwave another 1 1/2 minutes on high. Shake bag again and pour popcorn onto wax paper. Spread to cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
