EASY CARAMEL CORN 
1/2 c. white or dark Karo corn syrup
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 lb. butter

Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon baking soda. Pour over 5 quarts popped popcorn. Put in shallow pan. Bake 1 hour at 225 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes.
