2 c. shredded fresh apples
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 egg, beaten
1 stick butter

Mix all ingredients well. Pour in unleaked pie shell; cover with lattice top. Sprinkle lightly with sugar and nutmeg. Bake 45 minutes at 375 degrees.
