BROWN OATMEAL BREAD 
2 pkg. yeast
2 c. liquid (part scalded milk)
3 tbsp. sugar or 1 1/2 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. shortening or oil
2 c. oatmeal
1/3 c. dark molasses
2 tsp. salt
5 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in liquid. Add all ingredients and some of the flour, then knead in the rest of the flour. Let rise, put in greased pans. Rise again (1 1/2 to 2 hours both times). Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes. Can be made round.
