CHERRY DREAM SQUARES 
1 pkg. white cake mix
1 1/4 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. brown sugar

In a large bowl combine cake mix, 6 tablespoon butter and 1 cup rolled oats. Mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup crumbs for topping. To the remaining crumbs add 1 egg and mix until well blended. Press into greased 9 x 13 inch pan.

Pour cherry pie mix over the crust and spread evenly. To the reserved crumbs in a bowl add the remaining 1/4 cup rolled oats, 2 tablespoon butter, nuts, and brown sugar. Mix well and sprinkle over the cherry mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Serve as a dessert with spoonful of Cool Whip topping or drizzle a little powdered sugar frosting over and cut into bars.
