CORK SCREW BREAD 
4 c. flour
2 tbsp. lard
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. water

Mix dry ingredients, rub in the lard. Add milk and water alternately. Mix until dough can be handled easy. Now wrap dough around a green stick that has been washed and dried off. Place across camp fire coals on forked sticks to hold it up and turn often. When browned on all sides, remove from stick and serve.
