CREAM OF ASPARAGUS SOUP 
3/4 c. water
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. light cream
2 tbsp. butter
1 lb. fresh asparagus, cut into pieces

In saucepan, heat water and salt to boiling. Add asparagus; cover and simmer 8- 10 minutes just until asparagus is tender. Put asparagus and cooking water into blender. Cover and blend on high speed until smooth. Return to saucepan. Add butter and heat through. Makes 4 servings.
