OREO COOKIES 
2 pkg. Devils Food cake mix (Duncan Hines seems best)
1 1/2 c. Crisco
4 eggs

Mix thoroughly (may use your hands to mix). Roll into balls about the size of a quarter. They should be small as they spread while baking. Bake in an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 8-9 minutes. Cookies look almost under done, cracks form on them on top when done. Let set in pan a few minutes before removing (they crack more).

Bake all the cookies first, then make a frosting or filling of 8 ounce cream cheese and 1 pound powdered sugar (3 1/2 cups), 1/4 cup butter and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Filling should not be too stiff as it hardens a little after it sits. Put a dab of filling on one cookie, place another cookie on the top and squash down on filling. Do not spread the filling on, you may have to on some.
