CHOCOLATE DUGE CAKE | |
1 stick butter 1/2 c. water 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg 1/4 c. buttermilk Melt butter, cocoa, and water on full power for 2 minutes. Mix dry ingredients together. Add to hot cocoa mixture. Beat well. Beat in the egg, vanilla, and buttermilk. Batter will be thin. Pour into an eight inch or 2 quart utility dish. Bake for 5 minutes on #7 level or on medium setting. Bake for 1 1/2 minutes on full power. Turn dish several times after the first 2 minutes. There should be a little batter on the top and sides of dish. This will finish cooking out of the oven. FUDGE FROSTING: 1/2 stick butter 2 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 tbsp. cocoa 1/2 lb. powdered sugar |
