CRANBERRY - APPLESAUCE BARS 
6 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 beaten egg (or 1/4 c. egg substitute)
1/2 c. applesauce
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped, raw cranberries

Combine butter and brown sugar in saucepan; heat only until butter melts. Remove from stove. Stir in applesauce, egg, orange peel, and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients and stir into mixture. Add cranberries and nuts. Spread in Pam sprayed 9 inch pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

While still warm, glaze with: 2 tbsp. cranberry juice 1/2 tsp. vanilla
