1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar, lightly packed
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 lg. eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Pour boiling water over oatmeal, let stand 10 minutes. Add both sugars and butter. When butter melts, add eggs and mix well. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cocoa. Add to sugar mixture and stir. Add half the package of chocolate chips. Pour batter into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle walnuts and remaining chips on top. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes.
