BEEF AND BROCCOLI | |
1/2 tsp. sesame oil 2 tbsp. oyster sauce 1 lb. flank or round steak 1 tsp. soy sauce 1/2 tsp. sugar Dash salt 1 tbsp. sherry 1. Slice steak into thin slices. Let them soak in 1 tablespoon cooking sherry, sugar, salt, pepper, 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon soy sauce - soak for approximately 20 minutes. 2. Cut and wash broccoli, boil in salt water for several minutes (do not overcook). Add sliced carrots to add color. 3. Mix sauce ingredients. 4. Pan (or use wok) fry the beef in high heat for a few minutes (until the beef turns pink in center). Mix the vegetables and beef and sauce together. Cook in high heat for a few minutes. Serve over white rice. Makes 4 adult servings. SAUCE: 1/2 c. water 1 - 1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch (adjust amount according to the thickness you prefer) Dash salt Approx. 2 tbsp. oyster sauce 1/2 tsp. sugar Mix together. |
