CREAM BAKED VEAL | |
2 lb. veal or chop suey meat 1/2 c. butter 2 tbsp. flour 2 c. milk 2 tbsp. finely chopped green pepper 1 tsp. salt Dash pepper 3 hard cooked eggs 1 can mushrooms 1 can chow mein noodles Cut meat into small cubes. Heat butter in heavy skillet. Add meat and steam for 20 minutes, then fry to light brown; add flour, stir until mixed. Add milk, cook until smooth, then sauce is formed. Add green pepper. Put in greased casserole, putting in a layer of this mixture, then a layer of sliced hard boiled egg and mushrooms, then a layer of meat mixture. Continue until all is used. Last layer should be meat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until meat is done. Arrange noodles on top and allow to heat through. |
