LADY ANTONETTE PICKER COCONUT
CAKE
 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. oil
1/2 c. milk
5 eggs
1 tsp. coconut flavor
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. coconut (less 4 tbsp.)
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix ingredients together. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes.

SAUCE FOR CAKE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
4 tbsp. coconut
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. coconut extract

Boil for 5 minutes. After cake has baked, stick holes about 1 1/2 inches deep. Pour sauce over cake right in pan. Let cool and remove from pan.
