CARAMEL COCONUT CAKE 
1 yellow box cake mix
1 qt. milk
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. 10X sugar
Coconut flakes (optional)

Cook cake according to box instructions. Combine milk, butter and regular sugar into a large pot/saucepan. Cook under a medium temperature. Stir often (so it won't stick to pan) until it thickens like a sauce. Add 10X sugar and vanilla and continue to simmer under a low temperature until thick enough so spread. Let sit for 5 minutes (sauce will thicken upon sitting). Spread on cake and sprinkle coconut flakes if preferred. CAUTION: Sauce is hot!!
