SPECIAL "K" BARS | |
1/2 c. granulated sugar 1/2 c. clear Karo 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. peanut butter 3 c. Special "K" cereal, crushed ICING: 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips 6 oz. butterscotch chips In medium saucepan, over low heat, dissolve sugar in Karo. (Do not overheat.) Add vanilla and peanut butter. Heat on low until mixture is smooth. Put cereal in mixing bowl. Pour mixture over cereal; mix well by hand. Spread mixture into cake pan. ICING: Melt chips in double boiler or microwave until mixture is smooth. Spread icing evenly over cereal mixture. Let cool in refrigerator for a few hours. Cut into squares and serve. |
