TRANSPARENT PIE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
1 c. jelly
1 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whites
1 1/2 c. sugar

Add egg yolks and jelly, mix well. Add vanilla. Pour into pastry lined pie pan. Bake at 325 degrees until firm. Top with meringue made of 4 egg whites and 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Return to oven until brown. Yields: 6 to 8 servings.
