CORN FRITTERS | |
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 c. milk 1 tbsp. melted shortening 2 c. whole kernel corn Oil for frying Combine all ingredients except corn. Blend until smooth. Fold in corn. In large skillet, heat oil and drop batter by the tablespoon into the very hot fat. Fry until browned on both sides. Serves 6. |
