SIMPLIFIED CHILI SAUCE 
1 (28 oz.) can Hunts tomatoes, mashed
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 green pepper
2 stalks celery, diced
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Bring to a boil, then simmer gently approximately 1/2 hour, uncovered, then cover for approximately another 1/2 hour. Makes about 1 quart. Store in refrigerator, or put into small jars and freeze.
