BLEND OF THE BAYOU SEAFOOD CASSEROLE | |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 stick butter 1 lb. shrimp 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 bell pepper, chopped 2 ribs celery, chopped 2 tbsp. butter 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can mushrooms, drained 1 tbsp. garlic salt 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce 1/2 tsp. red pepper 1 pt. crab meat (frozen, in box) 2 1/2 to 3 c. cooked rice Grated cheese Cracker crumbs Melt cream cheese and butter in double boiler. Saute shrimp, onion, bell pepper and celery in the 2 tablespoons butter. Add to cream cheese mixture. Add soup, mushrooms, seasonings, crab meat and rice. Mix well, pour into 2 quart casserole. Top with grated cheese and cracker crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly and light golden brown. Serves 8. |
