EASY VEGETABLE, BEEF AND BARLEY
SOUP
 
Brown and drain:

1/2 lb. ground beef

Add and simmer 45 minutes:

1/2 c. barley
3 c. water

Add and simmer until tender:

2 carrots, peeled and sliced
2 ribs celery, cleaned and sliced
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 beef bouillon cube
1 (15 oz.) can Italian style stewed tomatoes
1 (12 oz.) can V-8 juice

Serve hot.
