SWEDISH NUT CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. nuts 2 eggs 2 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla TOPPING: 1 3/4 c. powdered sugar 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese Milk, if needed 1 stick butter 1/2 c. nuts Cream 2 cups sugar with eggs. Add pineapple. Sift together flour and soda. Combine with above and add vanilla and 1/2 cup nuts. Bake at 325 degrees in greased and floured 9"x13"x2" pan about 40 minutes. Cream butter with softened cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1/2 cup nuts. Add a little milk if too thick. Pour over cake while hot. |
