CLAM CHOWDER 
7-8 strips bacon
3 (8 oz.) cans minced clams
1 can mushroom soup
1/2 gallon milk
6 med potatoes, diced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery, include leaves

Cook bacon; drain and set aside. Saute onion in bacon grease. Add celery, diced potatoes and clams. Cook until potatoes are tender. Add mushroom soup and milk. Simmer, but do NOT boil. Makes a lot and will freeze.
