DELORES' CLAM CHOWDER 
3 to 4 strips bacon
1/2 med. onion, diced
2 med. potatoes, diced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 c. water
1 pt. minced clams with juice
1 can (12 oz.) Pet evaporated milk
Paprika
Carrot, for color

Brown bacon and pour off grease. Add onion, potatoes, salt, pepper and water. Cook until done. Add clams, juice and milk. Simmer and serve.
