PEACH COBBLER | |
12 halves of peaches 1 c. pastry flour 2 tbsp. water 1/3 c. sugar 1/4 c. milk 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tbsp. fat Place the halves of canned or fresh peaches in the bottom of a glass baking dish and add the sugar and water. Syrup from the canned peaches may be substituted for the water, if desired. Mix and sift the dry ingredients. Cut in the fat and add the milk. Mix lightly and spread the dough over the peaches in a buttered baking dish. Bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Other fruits and berries may be used. |
