ROLLED ANISE COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tbsp. cider vinegar
5 c. flour
Pinch of salt and pepper
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 3 tbsp. hot water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. ground anise

flour board good. Roll out, cut with cutter. If they don't roll out good, add more flour. Bake at 350-375 degrees for 5-10 minutes or until done.
