PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
8 slices pineapple
8 maraschino cherries

Spread and melt butter in 8 or 9 inch round pan. Spread in brown sugar and place pineapple and cherries.

Cover with:

2 eggs (beaten)
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs and butter, vanilla. Sift dry ingredients. Beat in buttermilk until smooth. Preparations: Bake at 325 for 45-50 minutes.
