MINCE-APPLE PIE 
3 c. thinly sliced peeled cooking apples (3 med.)
1 (28 or 29 oz.) jar mince meat
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. orange juice
Milk (optional)
Sugar (optional)
Hard sauce (optional)

Stir together apples, mince meat, brown sugar and orange juice. Transfer to a pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate. Cut slits in top crust. Adjust top crust. Seal and flute edge. Brush crust with milk and sprinkle with sugar, if desired. Cover edge of pie with foil. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes more or until pastry is golden and apples are tender. Serve with hard sauce, if desired.
