AUNT EILEEN'S APPLE BAFFLE PIE 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda in 4 tbsp. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. chopped apples
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter, sugar, eggs, add dry ingredients, fold in apples and nuts. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Pour cooled sauce over cooled cake. Cover with layer of whipped cream.

SAUCE:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. orange juice
4 tbsp. butter
2 eggs, beaten

Boil until thick. (It thickens after it cools).
