MOUND CAKE WITH COCONUT FILLING
AND ICING
 
Cake:

1 box German chocolate cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 c. oil
1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar

Mix all ingredients. Pour into 3 pans.

Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes.

Coconut Filling:

1 c. milk
23 large marshmallows
1 (14 oz.) bag coconut

Boil sugar and milk 1 minute; remove from heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Add coconut and put between layers.

Icing:

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
2 sq. sweet chocolate or 1/2 c. cocoa
3 tbsp. white Karo syrup
1 stick butter

Mix all ingredients. Bring to a hard boil for 1 minute. Beat well and frost cool cake.
