PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter (if shortening is used, add 1/2 tsp. salt)
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 tbsp. water
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 egg, beaten
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves

Mix all together in a bowl and bake on greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes in 375 degree oven.
