FAIRFAX TOFFEE COOKIES | |
1 pkg. butterscotch morsels 1/2 pkg. chocolate chips (semi-sweet) 3 c. Rice Krispies 1/2 c. peanut butter 1/3 c. chopped almonds (or pecans) Over hot water, not boiling, melt butterscotch chips. Add peanut butter and mix well until smooth. Add to Rice Krispies until well "merged". Spread into shallow baking dish. Pat into place with spoon. Then "frost" with melted chocolate morsels. Sprinkle evenly over top the chopped pecans. Put in ice box to cool (slightly). It is good to cut the cookies into squares before they are hardened. |
