PAPA'S SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1 lb. whole tomatoes
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
2 (6 oz.) cans Progresso tomato paste
2 bay leaves
Lemon juice (1 lemon or 3 tbsp. lemon juice)
Salt & pepper to taste (optional)
2 tbsp. Italian seasoning
2 to 3 lb. hamburger
3 to 4 onions (4 c.)
1 clove of garlic
Olive oil
2 tbsp. basil

Cook hamburger and drain. Cook onions in olive oil. Add tomato paste to onions. Then add hamburger, bay leaves, basil, salt, pepper, garlic, lemon juice, Italian seasoning. Simmer for 1 to 4 hours. This sauce freezes well for later.
