OLD FASHIONED EGG CUSTARD PIE 
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk, scalded
Nutmeg, optional
1 unbaked pie shell

Combine eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla in bowl; mix well. Gradually stir in milk. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg if desired. Bake on baking sheet at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until when knife is inserted in center it comes out clean. Set on cooling rack. Refrigerate after cooled.
