PORK CHOPS WITH SAUERKRAUT 
6 loin pork chops
Salt and pepper
2 lbs. sauerkraut
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 tsp. caraway seed
2 lg. tart apples, cored, peeled and cut in wedges
1 c. chopped onion
Chopped parsley

Brown chops on both sides. Season with salt and pepper and add a small amount of hot water in skillet. Combine next five ingredients and mix well. Spoon half the mixture into a large shallow baking dish. Arrange pork chops on top and spread with remaining sauerkraut mixture. Pour drippings on top and cover tightly with foil. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Sprinkle with parsley. Makes 6 servings.
