MACARONI PIZZA STYLE | |
1/2 lb. lean ground beef crumbled 1/2 c. chopped onion 8 oz. sm. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained 2 (8 oz.) or 1 (15 oz.) can Hunts tomato sauce with tomato bits 1/4 c. of water 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 tsp. basil 1/4 tsp. oregano 6 oz. Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese, slices Choice of pizza toppings, sausage, salami, olives, pepperoni, etc. Brown crumbled beef and onions together in 2 (9 inch) pie plates in 425 degree oven. Stir top with macaroni then 1 1/2 cans of Hunts tomato sauce with tomato bits, water, seasonings, toss. Top with cheese and toppings, pour on rest of sauce. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. I use a 9 x 13 pan instead of 2 pie plates. |
